Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Boom!

"'Cause I have done it before and I can do it some more
I got my eye on the score
I'm gonna cut to the core
It's too late, it's too soon, or is it....
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, boom!"

Greetings.

It has been a good long while since last I posted. I'm so used to not blogging that I kind of forget about this blog machine sometimes. Oh bother.

This week is exam week for us school-going kids and it has been long and arduous, to say the least. Luckily, I am now done and can continue with my life or whatever. It has been so terribly cold lately! - Really, Katelyn? Because it's like winter and stuff? zomg! - Yes, I realize the obviousness of this, I am merely making a statement...and indirectly having a conversation with myself. Wow.  This is starting to go all over the place. I'm going to stop while I'm behind. Who's ready for some unrelated pictures that I found and liked from weheartit?

Thanks

I know, I know. Thanksgiving was light years ago, but I'm a lazy college student, rada, rada, rada, etc. and am just now getting around to this blog machine to post. Here we go:

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday. I love stuffing my face full of my grandmother's superb cooking, seeing the relatives, and getting a small, but needed break from school. My family largely consists of nurses and therefore, it isn't a rare happening for us to celebrate holidays on days other than the scheduled calender date of the event. It happens, no big deal.

This year, my mother was going to work the day of and the day before Thanksgiving and then we would all travel happily to Nashville to spend Thanksgiving with our relatives that weekend. That was a fine plan.....except! I was unable to get off work on the weekend. Sad sauce. I was going to be spending Thanksgiving (my family's rescheduled version of it, at least) alone in my house, and I was going to be working on top of it. I will admit that I was a tad put down by this realization, but things happen so I was dealing with it and moving on with my life. Whatevs.

Christopher, my cousin, was generous enough to invite me to his family's Thanksgiving, so that was nice. We fit in a bit of jamming and other music-related activities so that was fantastic! I was able to put some new music on my iTunes, which always makes my day. And...later that night, my friend Stephanie met up with Chris and I for some Across the Universe and H.A.A.R.P. Tour! It was beautiful, Stephanie cried and I cried on the inside. (Don't be embarrassed when you read this, Steph, it is perfectly acceptable). It was an unexpectedly decent holiday.

The weekend was kind of synonymous with its weather - rainy, dreary, and cold, but I won't whine. My family was even kind enough to bring me back some Thanksgiving lunch in zip lock baggies. I realize that this is quite pathetic and sad, but it still tasted okay. One just has to take what they can get, sometimes.

Thanks for reading this long post. I hope everyone had super Thanksgivings.
